Disclosure*We had the chance to attend this event however all opinions are always our own*
The TTPM Holiday Showcase 2017 was definitely an experience unlike any other! It was the first time my family and I attended and we loved it. I am a toy fan, but I appreciated that my kids had the chance to check them out themselves. It was perfect because they are old enough to know what they want and right away knew which ones were their favorites.
Jonathan is 13 years old and his toy playing days are over! (So he says) All his time is spent on focusing in school, his love for video games, WWE and comics! He was pleasantly surprised to see there was actually more than one product he was interested in. He is very picky and shy but came out of his shell a little bit when it came to actually test these fun having products out!
SPY CODE: Break Free from Yulu
Jon had the chance to test it out himself. How fast can you break free from pair of handcuffs? This game is full of suspense, much like fast action high stress challenges you might see in action movies. It’s for up to 4 players. There are different levels, green (easy) yellow (medium) and red is (advanced). Be the first to break free and you are the winner!! This game retails for about $20.00.
Dropmix from Hasbro
I can not even describe how excited we all were for this one because Jonathan loves his music! He loves music as much as we do, but what he loves to listen to the most is music scores! The background music is what drives him! The game comes with a physical electronic gaming board and 60 NFC chip-enabled cards covering musical genres from Pop to R&B to Dance to Indie to Country to Rock and Hip-Hop. To play it, you will need to download and pair the DropMix platform with a free-to-download app compatible with Apple and Android devices.’This new electronic music-mixing game is your #1 choice for any Dj at heart.
These blasters were so much fun! They can be found at Walmart and Target for much lower prices than your typical blasters ( rhymes with turf) We love playing last man standing games at home. They’re like paint ball wars but without the mess! See them in action below!
Laser X from NSI International
Keeping with our theme for combative play we have Laser X! It’s a laser game that comes with two vest and two blasters. You can have games of laser tag right in your own backyard or home. This version has a vest/target that is comfortable and adjusts easily. It keeps score and isn’t overly sensitive. The blasters are easy to set up and allows you to choose to be a blue or red team.
Sarah loves toys! I love that she can play with a toy or game and just use her imagination. She doesn’t like to follow the directions. She loves playing with anything that attracts her attention. She’s always marching to the beat of her own drum! I asked her which ones were her favorites and, let me tell you, the list was long. I decided to pick four in no specific order. I’d be here all day if i listed all of them. The TTPM Holiday Showcase made her day!
Jaks Pacific Disney Princess Travel Vanity
It comes with all of the accessories included for pretend play for any little fashionista or makeup artist!
Squishmallows from KellyToys
Yes, the craze for all things squishy is real and not going away anytime soon. My girls loves all things squishy! These stuffed toys are super soft and perfect for cuddling! They are made from super soft spandex with memory foam and polyester. There are many different animals available in the line including a blue penguin, orange fox, and green alpaca. Sarah got to take one home and she sleeps with it every night. I think they can be the perfect travel pillow for long car rides.
Land Rover (orange) from KIDTRAX
I know what you might be thinking, Sarah is way too big for this car. Sarah’s favorite youtube star Tiana of Toys and Me is always using electric cars like this one. Now Sarah has to have her very own! It’s great because it’s the perfect kids car that actually looks like a real car. It’s spacious and affordable compared to other bigger cars I’ve searched for that go up to $1,000.
Fingerlings from Wowee
The Fingerlings are virtual pets! They cling to your fingers and go wherever you do. They react to sound, motion and touch, make fun little monkey noises. There are play sets to choose from and six characters in all. It’s friendship at your fingertips!
Dance Code featuring Disney Princess Belle from Hasbro
This is a good one! Dance Code featuring Belle will not be released until November 1, 2017. it’s available for pre-order on Amazon. Your little one can learn simple coding techniques. They can create and choreograph dance sequences for Belle through the app. Belle says over 100 phrases and plays 7 songs!
LuvaBella from Spinmaster
This was on of TTPM’S top picks and for good reason. This is the most interactive baby doll I’ve ever seen. It has facial expressions and movements. The more you play with Luvabella, the more she learns. As you interact with her she’ll expand her vocabulary from baby babble to over 100 words and complete phrases! This is already #1 on our Christmas list. It comes in different skin tones and there is also a boy version. You can see Sarah’s face change when she realizes she is completely in love with this doll!
We had an unforgettable day filled with lots of quality family time! Thank you to all the great brands and TTPM putting together a great event!
